Reflecting on Journeying to a More Relaxing State of Mind

Everyone has their way of relieving stress.  In fact a great way to relieve stress is by relaxing.  There are many types of relaxing techniques in which an individual can do or implement to help relieve and manage their daily stresses in their life.  However finding the right one can be difficult.  My journey on relaxation experience with Dacher (2006) has surely made my day.  He provides a fantastic tool for individuals who are stressed and needs a technique to help them relax through the ways of breathing, visualizing and releasing.  This tool helps promote relaxation and helps calm one’s mind, body, and spirit.  But most importantly it helps one clear the mind of unwanted or distracting thoughts and allows room for other factors that are more important and rewarding to one’s life that actually deserves the attention.  This experience is so refreshing and full of relaxation that it will make you feel like doing nothing else but relaxing and spending time with your family, friends or just being by yourself.  The background music along with the calming voice of the man speaking can surely soothe one’s mind.  As I focus on the sounds and words being spoken, I feel myself lying peacefully.  Also, the sounds helped me let loose and disappear to a place peace and quiet where I have no worries and nothing can hurt me.  It helped me focus more into my life and the goals ahead of me.  I felt I am able to accomplish anything.  I can release all my frustrations and any problems I have.  Nothing can interfere or hurt me anymore.  I feel at whole with myself and I am no longer lost.  Overall, I feel revitalized and feel a sense of wholeness within me.  Loved the experience and will try and incorporate it when I am feeling frustrated, overwhelmed or stressed.   Definately an experience beneficial to share with the family.

  1. Hi Diana,

Awesome photo...your reflective statement was wonderful to read and so very true. We all have a particular way to alleviate stress...what works for one may not be helpful to another person. In addition, it is a good idea to have multiple relaxation techniques as some days can be very stressful...I'm sure you can relate :)

It appears that your relaxation technique was a positive one for you. I too, enjoyed the post feeling of tranquility and calmness. Likewise, I found that the soothing voice and calming music added to the overall relaxation experience.

By the way, you must share how you access those mesmerizing photos on your blog.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend with your lovely family.

    Best of health,

    Allana

  2. Hi Allana,

Thank you for visiting my blog and for kind comments. I agree that individual's should have more than one way of relaxing and alleviating stress, mine is through prayer, working out, walking outside or just taking some time out to myself. How about you? What are some relaxing techniques you incorporate into your daily life?

As for the pictures you see in my blog, they are photos already inputted into my computer. But I am pretty sure you can access any of these through the internet. Well take care and Happy Holidays.
